Hi everyone,
The 13th European Senior Chess Championship for classical and rapid chess (men and women) started Monday, 11 March 2013, in Paris Hall of the Novotel in Plovdiv. The Championship is organized by the European ChessUnion and the Bulgarian Chess
Federation with the support of the Ministry of Physical Education and Sports and the Municipality of Plovdiv. Patron of the tournament is Mrs Menda Stoyanova — Deputy speaker of the Bulgarian Parliament and Chairwoman of the Budget and Finance Committee. The classical chess tournament will be held from March 11th until March 19th, 2013 and the rapid — from March 20th to March 21st, 2013. Entitled to participate are men from the ECU Chess Federations who shall have reached the age of 60 and women who shall have reached the age of 50 years, by December 31st of the year in which the tournament will commence.
