Hi everyone,

World chess champion Viswanathan Anand in India on Monday said he would be working hard to retain his title by winning the 2012 World Chess Championship. Talking about the tournament, Anand said that he would have to work hard for several months to overcome his strong opponent Boris Gelfand of Israel at the championship. A confident Anand further said that despite the training and regular practice, the final outcome really depends on how one performs in the games. You can watch this video here.

In another interview, Anand said, “It is heartening to note that young children are taking up chess enthusiastically and mastering the strategies of the game.”
